The GM role at Venue will be to assess current operations and implement changes to achieve substantial growth of the business. Our goal is to achieve exceptional levels of service focused on the guest experience. You will create and implement training programs for all front of house staff positions (including current management team) focused on the importance of hospitality. There are also important business needs that will require your input and involvement. These include management of labor costs and driving of revenues among others.

PRIVATE FAMILY CHEF - BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI

Monday-Friday Hours

Very busy household is seeking a full-time Chef who enjoys working in a family setting. The Chef will plan and prepare breakfast (certain days of the week), after school snack and dinner, Monday-Friday. There will be an agreed upon schedule, however, the Chef must be flexible to work varied hours to accommodate the family’s needs, which do change frequently. The family likes classic meals, including Mediterranean fare. Favorite recipes will be shared for use as well.

Job entails:

  • Creating weekly menus in advance for approval
  • Grocery shopping, ensuring the home is well stocked with food and beverages
  • Cleaning kitchen and workspaces upon departure each day
  • Maintain cleanliness of refrigerators and all food storage areas
  • Occasional weekend support and travel required
  • Providing event support: cooking for smaller parties, working with Estate Manager to coordinate larger parties

 Requirements:

  • Hospitality Degree / Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of high-volume restaurant manager/bar manager/dining room manager experience
  • Expertise in ordering, inventory management, labor management, and scheduling
  • Exceptional training skills
  • Good craft beer and craft cocktail knowledge
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Any additional certifications are a plus (e.g. Sommelier, Cicerone, BarSmarts, etc.)
  • Polished, professional image
